A six part series, Surviving R Kelly, made for America’s Lifetime network, addresses serious allegations of abuse made against singer R Kelly , all of which he denies.

For many years the star has been surrounded by rumours of his inappropriate sexual, physical and mental conduct towards women and girls, some underage.

The documentary, which first started airing in the US in January 2019, features interviews with those who know him, including his ex wife and girlfriends and family members.

Testimonies from his alleged victims are also included, as well as interviews with singer John Legend and other music industry insiders.

Here’s what you need to know about the documentary and how to watch it.

How to watch Surviving R Kelly in the UK

Surviving R Kelly will be available to watch here in the UK from Tuesday February 5 at 10pm on Crime + Investigation.

It will air for six weeks every Tuesday.

BBC Three also aired a documentary on BBC One in April 2018 called R Kelly: Sex, Girls and Videotapes. That is still available to watch on the iPlayer .
